The Golden Compass: Hollywood's $180 Million Attempt to 'Kill God'

MEDIA ADVISORY, Dec. 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Golden Compass is promoted as the blockbuster "family" movie of the holiday season--even though it's based on the first of three books by outspoken atheist Philip Pullman. While Hollywood insists the movie is not atheism for kids, Pullman himself has boasted that he hopes his trilogy will "kill God"; by his series' end, the main characters do actually kill God.

"Philip Pullman's books, and perhaps this movie, are part of an atheist propaganda campaign," says Dinesh D'Souza, author of the New York Times bestseller What's So Great About Christianity. "They are aiming to indoctrinate young people against the religious beliefs of their parents during a time when most Americans are celebrating religious holidays."

Is The Golden Compass an attack on Christianity?
