ACNS Special Media Advisory
In the days running up to the meeting of the Primates of the Anglican Communion (15-19 February), the Standing Committee of the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC) and the Primates will meet in the White Sands Hotel for their regular annual meeting.
The ACC is one of the "instruments of communion" with laity, clergy and bishops included in the membership from eight provinces of the Communion. The meetings include the examination of funding through the Inter Anglican Finance Committee, as each province is asked to help fund the operations and programmes of the London based Anglican Communion Office (ACO). The staff members come from England, Jamaica, Uganda, USA, Zambia, Ireland, Colombia and Australia.
On Tuesday, the Archbishop of Canterbury will arrive from London (scheduled for 7.25 a.m.) at the airport and will be greeted by the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Tanzania and other officials and church people. Press and media welcome for this photo-call (only).
Notes for Editors and Media Persons
